Perfect for clients that have little to no brow hair or are looking for a bolder brow, Microblading is a semi permanent way of delivering pigment to the skin- creating natural looking brows for up to a year.
book a reservationMicroblading is a semi-permanent technique for enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows, in which pigment is scratched into the skin in fine, short strokes resembling hair, using a hand tool with a blade formed of tiny needles.
Microblading can last anywhere from 18 to 30 months. In general, it requires touch-ups once or twice a year. Once pigment from your procedure begins to noticeably fade, you'll need to come back and see us for a touch-up application.
Taking around 2 hours, most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort due to the use of our numbing cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance to pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected, but we will check in with you regularly & can apply more numbing cream if needed.
We’ll start by choosing the technique that will best work for your skin and face, either microblading, microblading and shading or ombré shading. Then we will choose a color based on your undertones & hair color. Your technician will walk you through the pre-care procedure, and set you up with numbing cream for the procedure.
The procedure itself will depend on a few factors, but can normally take from 1.5-2 hours from start to finish (this includes brow mapping, numbing, procedure, and post-care) We’ll finish by giving you aftercare instructions (listed below) to help with the healing process so you can get the best results!
You will have the option to book your 1-hour touch-up session 4-6 weeks from your first appointment.
Days 1-3
Eyebrows look fuller but the area can feel cut & tender. You can experience redness, tenderness, mild swelling, mild bleeding, bruised sensation.
Days 3-5
Eyebrows darken and start to flake off. Be sure during this time not to pick at the scabs, get sweat or water near the healing site. Your brows will be itchy, but don't worry! This just means your skin is healing, try not to touch the area.
Days 5-8
Flaking will continue & the color will fade back more. Again do not pick the scabs! Picking them off can pull pigment from the area, resulting in patchy brows. Let the scabs flake off naturally. The color will soften but will come back later in the process.
Days 8-12
Flaking ends & color returns
Days 12-21
Color & texture look more natural
Days 22-30
Skin is healed. After the first month, your skin will be fully healed and there should be no more pain and discomfort. In another month or two, you will have a follow-up appointment where we can fix any spots and touch up the color.
Note: It’s normal for permanent makeup to fade over time. Therefore, after your initial micro blading session, you’ll need regular touch-ups. This will maintain the shape, color, and definition of your brows. Generally, it’s recommended to get a touchup every 12 to 18 months. But the best frequency depends on your preferred look.
